Monthly Meeting Information
Meeting packets are available on the Cheval West website and are posted seven days prior to the scheduled meetings.
Key Updates:

Suncoast Parkway Widening Project: The Florida Turnpike Enterprise has initiated a preliminary design and engineering study for the widening of the Suncoast Parkway. This project could significantly impact our community, and continued dialogue with FDOT is planned to address concerns.

Streetlight Replacement: The board has approved a new TECO proposal expected to reduce annual streetlight expenses from nearly $250K to approximately $170K. Discussions continue regarding additional traffic calming devices, data network connection nodes, and Cheval branded ornamental plates.
Gatehouse Refurbishment Project: The refurbishment of the district's gatehouses is progressing. The Ramblewood gatehouse remains closed to non-barcoded traffic. Work at each gatehouse site can take up to 90 days.
FY2025 O&M Budget Discussion: This month's meeting packet includes the initial draft of the FY2025 O&M Budget, featuring a proposed 5.45% budget increase.
Landscaping and Traffic Management: OLM conducts monthly landscaping inspections. The Florida Highway Patrol assists with traffic calming and enforcement, addressing unsafe practices such as using exit lanes as entrances.
Patience and Courtesy Reminder: Residents without a barcode should not attempt to access the resident lane. Please respect community services staff and maintain safety.
Website Enhancements: The www.chevalwest.com website is being revamped to include a new AI tool trained on Cheval West's documents to improve user experience and access to important information.

- Gatehouse calls are recorded.
- New hi-definition cameras with night vision have been installed.
- Manage guest and vendor lists through the dwellingLIVE portal.
- The TPC Golf Course is private property; unauthorized access is strictly prohibited.
FDOT's Proposed Widening of SR-589: The board is gathering questions and concerns to better understand the project's impact, focusing on aspects such as road realignment, noise mitigation, and stormwater management.
