Attention All Cheval Residents!
The Lutz Lake Fern barcode entry lane is temporarily closed due to water damage from Hurricane Milton impacting the gate arm operator. Since the storm, we have been working on fixing and replacing this unit.
Today, despite the best efforts of the Community Services Staff to keep it operational until a replacement arrives later this week, the gate arm operator failed, ultimately requiring this lane to be closed to traffic.
Cheval West's low-voltage contractor has been informed, and we have requested expedited service to remedy this issue. The vendor will be on-site Wednesday, November 6th, and has committed to an earlier appointment if possible.
We expect to resume normal operations no later than this Wednesday. In the meantime, the Lutz Lake Fern guest lane remains open to all traffic and barcoded entrants will be allowed after validation. Also, during peak traffic periods, the staff will endeavor to manually process barcoded traffic in the resident lane. This effort to manually process traffic will be sporadic throughout the day, so please be understanding.
We understand that delays can be frustrating, especially during peak traffic periods, and we will do our best to assist and minimize any inconvenience caused by the delays.
We want to express our sincere gratitude for your patience and understanding during this time. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work to resolve this issue a quickly as possible.
Sincerely,
Adam Nebrich
